Nestled at 2270 Balfour Rd, this establishment is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary adventure that beckons steak aficionados and casual diners alike to indulge in the rich, savory world of fine steak dining.

Known for its exceptional quality and inviting ambiance, Vic Stewart's combines the elegance of a fine dining restaurant with the warmth of a neighborhood bistro. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a charming decor that balances sophistication and comfort, perfect for both celebratory dinners and casual family gatherings. Some reviewers describe the atmosphere as delightfully intimate, though a tad dim, adding to the cozy, inviting dining experience.

The menu is a mecca for meat lovers, featuring an impressive array of steaks that are expertly cooked to perfection. A standout experience is the Lobster Mac & Cheese, a creamy, decadent dish that has captured the hearts (and palates) of diners—one describing it as "creamy and flavorful." The steak salad is another popular choice, tantalizing taste buds with high-quality ingredients and a delightful presentation. Additionally, the Fried Calamari, mixed with jalapeños and green beans, is a perfect starter that balances crispy texture with a touch of spice, setting the tone for the meal.

Start your meal with rich Lobster Bisque or the crispy Potato Skins topped with cheddar, bacon, and scallions, both of which prepare your palate for the real star of the show. For those opting for light bites or sandwiches, the California Club Sandwich—featuring hickory smoked turkey and creamy avocado—is a refreshing cut above your typical sandwich fare. It exemplifies the kitchen's commitment to quality and creativity, ensuring that even non-steak eaters have delightful choices.

While the food is undeniably star-worthy, the service here has received mixed reviews. Some guests noted the service can be slow, with servers not appearing promptly. However, many others lauded the friendly and attentive staff, which elevates the overall dining experience. As one patron reflected, “Service here IS exceptional, and I’d return for that aspect alone.” When everything comes together, as it often does at Vic Stewart’s, it offers a dining experience that many patrons remember fondly.

Add to this the chance to find a cozy booth—like the Owner's Booth praised by a diner, providing a unique setting for intimate gatherings—and you'll understand why Vic Stewart's is a cherished gem in Brentwood.

The food was excellent. The atmosphere was delightful. It is a little dark but the service was great.

A few friends and I visited here for one of my birthday celebrations. We wanted to dress up, have a nice dinner while staying close to home. There aren't that many fine dining experiences on our side of town so I thought we would try them out. I don't eat steak but looking over the menu prior to booking the reservation I felt they had enough choices for me to enjoy the meal. The restaurant's ambiance is great. It's a little dark and moody in the dining room with wonderful light installations to set the mood. Our server was attentive and efficient. We shared the roasted garlic for an appetizer and I had the lobster bisque and the wedge salad. I would have preferred the food had a little more seasoning but my friends enjoyed their salads so everyone was happy. We ordered the flourless chocolate cake with ice cream and the cheesecake for dessert to end the evening on a sweet note.

Really neat place and atmosphere. There are several different areas to eat in. We got to sit in a big beautiful booth, all to ourselves, just the 2 of us. It was the Owner's Booth. Went into to get steaks, but ended up ordering onion rings, lobster bisque, and the steak salad. Lobster bisque was a bad choice. Steak salad was great and so were the onion rings. Also had a fabulous drink--Pear Wrangler. Super amazing!!! They even gave us a chocolate mousse for husband's birthday dinner. We had a super nice server, but can't remember her name. Parking was easy and the place was clean. We went in around 530 or 6 on Saturday night and got seated right away.

I had high hopes for this place. The food was ok. The steak was cooked as ordered and was great. The sides were lacking, especially the creamed corn. It was like creamed bacon. The food isn’t aesthetically appealing so it makes it less desirable as well. The service was ok but it took quite a while to get service and any follow up. On the positive side, the drinks were good and the atmosphere was great.

First time here. It took our server a very long time to approach once we were seated. Overall , service was lackluster. Food quality was good, but not outstanding! Halibut special was tasty, but not worth $49. Lobster penne had a nice tasting sauce, but the amount of lobster was lacking. Bright spot of the meal was the desserts. Cheesecake and chocolate mousse were excellent. Restaurant has nice atmosphere, but probably will not return

Food was REALLY great. Drinks were good except the manhattan we ordered was really off. Our favorite food was the Lobster Mac & cheese. Creamy and flavorful! Service was not so great. Server was cordial but would disappear FOREVER! We were really disappointed since this was a special dinner for our anniversary. It was an early reservation so I am not sure why we had to wait so long for anything the server did. Just getting our check took a long time! Tough to deal with when you save up for a nice meal out, drive 1.5 hours and get bad service. And especially because it didn’t feel special at all. But I guess at least the food was good.

I've passed by this place numerous times and finally made it a point to stop in. Service here IS exceptional and I'd return for that aspect alone. The food, whilst a touch pricey, is VERY good yet the menu did had some...interesting combinations. Almost as if they out thought themselves at times. However, the fact that they have 49er club offerings suggests to me, a refined and enlightened dining establishment whereby you may (and i DID) lord this over Raider fans at work or home. Very petty I'm aware but, a must nonetheless. I don't drink and I'm in recovery for cancer so nonalcoholic beverages were more than enough for me. Never knew they was "PREMIUM" root beer but...there is and...they HAD it, good stuff. In fact, in my opinion this place is centered around the wine and beverages even more than the steak. If you want to treated to a wide wide range of choices then, this is definitely the place.
